HGUC Byarlant Custom Snap works

Here's what I've been doing for the past couple of days, Just cleaning up nubs, a few paints, some little modifications and the usual stuff, enjoy!
The limit extend of the neck.
Kinda like Legilis in this unfinished form LoL
Just a few IC pins left. Where to get more ehh....
The flaming armpit starts here, I don't do much details except for the thrusters, because this part is going to be hidden.
The Round PC will be connected to the arm extension.
A few Kotobukiya parts
I painted these to indicate as a port and starboard signals, like in planes and ships.
I wonder where am I going to throw these in the Byarlant...
Oh here's what I got from Miri, pre-cut custom decals! Cheap too!
Anyone can guess what this is? hahaha...
A few dust to clean off.
Looks good from this angle.
Those pipes are tedious to work with!
There's your hand extensions

This kit is worth the value to get, quite hefty to work with, but it's a great kit nonetheless, I'm not going to do much yet on this because of the upcoming EACON and the organizer wants me to finish this as a showcase.

New Post Of The Year, A bit late now, doens't it?

Hello everybody and welcome back to my old rotting post of Gunpla-Addict, since the last time I was here the blogging post has become a memory of my single years and now I'm trying to get back into the blogging world where everything around me or what's happening in the future is going to be documented. That is to say, I'm going to post anything related to Plamo now and what my group, The Brunei Plamo Group is doing.

For now what I have lack behind I will get back up slowly and up to speed, with my new post of the day!

Introducing The HGUC Byarlant Custom, an awesome MS that appeared in Gundam Unicorn animation movie ep.4. This MS came out of a hangar and did a head count of 10+ before something happened to it (I didn't watch the movie yet, so I dunno :3) With all the internet buzzing around of whether this MS is going to be produced or not until Bandai successfully milking us (AGAIN!) with the production of this monster. And thanks to Mr. Shafie Rai, I waited patiently for 2 month actually, before he told me to come up to his office and get something (haha I was suspecting something).

 Beautiful box art

And now here's my snap work that I started last night.

here with my work, originally I wanted to build it as quickly as I can, suddenly, a wild silver marker appeared! Note the power conduit which was green (don't really approve of the color) is now silver! Along with silvery wash on the nooks and crannies of the panel lines.

The vernier wing-span is well articulated, there are exhaust vents on both side, if any of you getting this, you might want to consider painting, me with my MALAS mode, I'd go for sticker.

And again with the sticker works, unfortunately it was night time and I don't wanna wake my kids up with the spray works.

This is the rear backpack vents, which was originally dark blue, and I went a little nuts at it again, with the silver paints.

Again with the silver power conduits at the back, I really wanted to show some realism in the details, with lack of references, this will do for now.

So there you have it folks, my 1st blogged post for this year I think, more to come and stay tuned, If I am lacking behind again, feel free to poke me on FB or make a surprise text, like I did with a certain Tsukinari Mugetsu, an ultimate summon magic in which he said to us in a chatroom "WHO TEXTED ME???" hahahahahahaha.... Oh well. Back to work~!

Basic Cementing Tutorial

Hey guys

It's been a while since I last posted, I made some simple cementing tutorial for my group, which is Brunei Plamo Group (still under construction) Feel free to comment if I do something wrong.

The cemented part, where you put cement from each side and clasp them
together to produce excess cement. Leave them for 24 hour for the cement to cure.

After 24 hour, I can start to file them... lightly.

Remember to check the surface after every stroke.

And stroke again

You can see the burrs forming on the side

you can cut off the excess cement with a craft knife too.

Wet sanding time~~ 400 grit abrasive paper ready.

Andd..... Start sanding.

Check the surface again

clean it up~

Here's My signature move~!! The nail buffer technique~

The black nail buffer grit has a smoother texture compared to 600 grit,
so I'm satisfied with the result

Here' the finished result.

Now. prepped for painting/spraying

This is what I do to each and every parts that has nubs on it. Have fun trying it out~!

Geara Zulu GETTO!!

Not much to be said... It's a cool kit! Let Sarge do the inspection XD

Here's Sarge presenting the new unit.

Oh? Looks like he got a list of it.

Nothing like a good soldier always preparing inventory for new incoming unit.

I just couldn't resist doing it... it's just too cute!

Yeap, for HG... Even Sarge is complaining.

Whoa hey... how the heck did he get my craft knife?

Sarge is all prepped up for this!

Ja na~!

Hobby Base 1/144 Mechanical Hands Review

Ola people!

After further delays of un-assembled mechas and lots of stressful work that I nearly completely forgotten about this old blog of mine(Maybe I should switch to WP instead eh?) I came across one day a support kit that can change the whole life of 1/144 HG kits forever! I first saw it from Gundam Guy and I was totally engrossed by it, took me month to gather information and looking for suppliers, at long last, today our favorite local Hobby shop CH-Toynation, was selling this only stuff and I just closed my eyes and brought it. Without further adieu, here it is.

All the previews at the back

2 Runners, and instruction manual on the back.

Like so. Sarge is inspecting all the material.

Be VERY CAREFUL about this micro joints!
They are very, VERY small and can be easily disappear
if not handled correctly.

The back of the hand, usual stuff.

These are pegs for the wrist connectors. The longer version,

and the shorter version.

The thumbs, each joints are bendable!

Trying the most famous hand gesture,
The FacePalm.

Used to be famous hand gesture, falls into second place,
The Middle Finger.

So this is how it looks like.

Trying a few more, The Reaching hand

Can't resist this one.

And finally Elenor has taken a liking for Sarge...
But Sarge thought differently now.. With those new hands of his...
